This throttle body for GM uses a non-contact, dual-Hall element-type throttle position sensor, which has longer service life for use. Due to the proper size and compact design, it is really easy for installation and there is no special need of maintaining. When the throttle opening degree changes, the magnet rotates accordingly, which changes the relative position with the element. In addition, the throttle shaft is linked with the contact. When the throttle body for GM is rotated, the sliding contact can move on the resistance, causing the change of the potential of the sliding contact.
The sliding resistance sensor of our throttle body for GM is a three-wire sensor, in which two pins are at both ends of the resistor, and the engine provides proper voltage as a power terminal and a ground terminal. The voltage changes linearly, which is also called a linear output throttle position sensor. Based on the linear voltage value, it can sense the opening of the throttle valve and make it correct to the fuel injection amount.
