Electronically controlled fuel injectors are the most critical and complex components in the common rail system, as well as the most difficult components in design and process. The ECU controls the opening and closing of the solenoid valve to inject the fuel in the high-pressure fuel rail into the combustion chamber with the best fuel injection timing, fuel injection volume and fuel injection rate. In order to achieve an effective fuel injection starting point and precise fuel injection volume, the common rail system uses a dedicated fuel injector with a hydraulic servo system and electronic control components (solenoid valves). The fuel injector is composed of a hole-type fuel injector similar to a traditional fuel injector, a hydraulic servo system (control piston, control metering hole, etc.), solenoid valve, etc.
The role of the fuel injector：
1. Increase oil pressure (constant pressure): Increase the injection pressure to 10MPa～20MPa.
2. Control the injection time (timing): Inject and stop injection at the specified time.
3. Control the fuel injection volume (quantitative): According to the working condition of the diesel engine, change the fuel injection volume to adjust the speed and power of the diesel engine.
